I spent a month and a half in Son Verí, a lovely town nestled in the hills near Palma de Mallorca, and I can honestly say – I loved absolutely everything about it. The host family was wonderful, and since Palma was just a short distance away, I really had the best of both worlds. I had everything I needed, and the people of Mallorca are incredibly friendly and full of life.
During my free time, I usually went to the beach or relaxed by the pool. I also enrolled in a Spanish language course, which turned out to be a great decision.
What stood out to me the most was just how relaxed, sweet, and kind the Spanish people are. Their energy made learning the language so much easier – everything just felt natural and light.
To anyone considering this program but feeling hesitant:
Leap! Step out of your comfort zone – it will be so worth it. This exchange is truly a beautiful experience you’ll carry with you for life.
