Kristina is currently spending time in Catalonia, where she’ll be staying for another month. She chose Spain as her destination—and here’s why.

Spain has always fascinated me. I was constantly looking for a way to spend an extended period here, and now that I’m finally living it, I can honestly say it’s been incredible. The host family is wonderful—the mom is amazing, and she has two adorable little boys. The town is beautiful, and the house is literally by the sea. I fall asleep and wake up to the sound of waves. It’s the perfect setting for long walks and bike rides. Honestly, it all feels like a fairytale.

I have quite a bit of free time, which I love because it gives me the chance to explore everything Catalonia has to offer. I’m living with a local family, so I get to pick up the language and customs naturally. What I’ve enjoyed most is being able to speak Spanish every day, living right by the sea for three whole months, and having the freedom to travel and discover other towns and cities.
