Milica decided to share a piece of her Spanish adventure with us. Here’s how she’s spending her days in sunny Spain:
Hello, everyone!
Right now, I’m in beautiful, sunny Spain, where the sun doesn’t set until nearly 10:30 PM. Every day here brings something new, and if nothing else, just living in a foreign country as a local for two months—or more—is truly priceless. Ever since I was a child, I dreamed of visiting Spain, and even on my way here, I could hardly believe it was happening.
I’m sure many of you have a dream country, one you’ve been thinking about since you were little. Well, guess what? With the Center for Affirmation and Development, that dream can easily become a reality. All it takes is a strong will and a little courage! My stay here is ending in just two weeks, but honestly, it feels like I only arrived that long ago—even though I’ve been here for over a month. Time flies when you’re in Madrid.
Besides Madrid, I’ve also visited Marbella near Málaga, then Cádiz, and I’m planning to visit Segovia with my host family. I’d also love to check out Barcelona—I’ve heard amazing things about it. So wherever you end up in Spain, don’t worry, there’s always a new place to explore every weekend. Teaching English to the kids has been fun and manageable, and no matter what challenges you face, you can always talk to your host family openly—they’re here to help. Mine has gone above and beyond to make me feel at home, and I can honestly say they’ve succeeded.
Now, whenever I come back to Spain, I know I have friends here who’ll welcome me with open arms. So, if the gray skies of your hometown start to feel too heavy, change your surroundings, expand your knowledge, and return with a lighter heart. That’s when you realize just how much you love your own country—and how wonderful it is to truly know another one, too.
I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone looking to grow, learn about other cultures, and build lasting friendships all around the world!
