Requirements and benefits for Au Pairs

This program offers you the unique opportunity to experience a new culture, learn a language, and travel while living with a host family in Spain, Italy, the USA, or China.

You will receive free accommodation, meals, and a monthly stipend in exchange for childcare and cultural exchange activities.

The goal of this program is to provide young people with a life-changing experience, allowing them to immerse themselves in a new culture, meet new people, and improve their language skills while staying with a host family.

Available Destinations & Duration

✔ Spain – 1 to 12 months
✔ Italy – 1 to 12 months
✔ USA – 12 months
✔ China – 3, 6, 9, or 12 months

Application Requirements

To become an au pair, you must:
✔ Be 19-27 years old
✔ Have a high level of English (other language skills may be beneficial)
✔ Be flexible, sociable, and open-minded
✔ Enjoy spending time with children and organizing activities
✔ Be in good overall health

What We Provide for Our Au Pairs

✔ Free accommodation in a private room with a host family
✔ Full board – three meals per day
✔ Monthly pocket money:

• Spain & Italy: €280 – €400/month
• USA: Higher stipend due to structured regulations
• China: Competitive monthly stipend

✔ Reception at the airport (in most destinations)
✔ Free public transportation
✔ Support in joining a language school (some families cover course costs)
✔ Possibility of using a car (depending on the family)
✔ 24/7 program support

Au Pair Responsibilities

• Spending time with children, organizing activities, and assisting with daily routines
• Speaking English with the children
• Light household duties related to childcare (e.g., preparing meals for children, tidying up play areas)
• Committing to the agreed-upon work schedule (typically 25-35 hours per week)

💡 Important: Au pairs are not allowed to take on additional jobs during their stay! This program is exclusively for cultural exchange and childcare.
