Ružica, one of our cultural exchange participants, is writing to us from Ridgewood, a charming little town just outside the Big Apple, where she’ll be spending the next year. Here’s what she had to say about her adventure so far.
I live in a quiet town near New York City, which gives me the best of both worlds – peace and calm when I need it, and quick access to the bustling city whenever I feel like exploring. That balance really means a lot to me.
The family I’m staying with is incredibly kind, and we get along wonderfully. We have so much in common, and we spend a lot of time together – we even have a couple of trips planned soon!
In my free time, I love traveling and hanging out with the friends I’ve made during this program. One of the best parts of this whole experience is meeting people from all over the world and visiting places I never imagined I’d get to see.
