Jovana, one of our cultural exchange participants, writes to us from the beautiful city of Seville, where she’s been living for the past month. Here’s what she had to say about her journey so far:
I’ve loved everything! The host family is wonderful—they’re always there to help and introduce me to Spanish culture and traditions. Seville is a city that’s worth visiting—it has a special kind of energy. The people are incredibly friendly, and it’s so easy to make new friends here.
I’d been wanting to visit Spain for a long time, and this program gave me the chance to actually live here and see it from a completely different perspective.
In my free time, I attend Spanish classes at a language school where all the students are also au pair participants. It’s such a fun way to meet people from all over the world and share experiences with each other. Every weekend we go on short trips to nearby towns—or even to other countries—which is an amazing way to travel while you’re here.
Honestly, everything about this experience has been special in its way, so I couldn’t pick just one highlight.
