Emilija, one of our cultural exchange participants in Spain, spent two unforgettable months in vibrant Barcelona, one of the most visited cities in Europe. Here’s what she had to say about her adventure:
The experiences I’ve brought back from Spain are simply amazing and truly priceless! I managed my time well, so in addition to exploring Barcelona itself, I also got the chance to visit other parts of Spain, like the beautiful coastal town of S’Agaró. Spain has so much to offer, from breathtaking scenery and historical landmarks to stunning parks and beaches. The sea is gorgeous, and the Spanish people are generally very warm, friendly, and always happy to help.
Emilija made the most of her free time by sightseeing, visiting museums and parks, wandering through unique neighborhoods, and always on the lookout for the perfect coffee spot with a view.
And the host family?
I couldn’t have asked for a better one. From the very beginning, they were kind, open, and always willing to find common ground. Every question I had was met with a helpful answer. I never once felt like a guest—I truly felt like part of the family.
