Greetings from Andalusia

Grüße aus Andalusien

If you’re wondering where to spend your next summer—maybe with a side of learning and adventure—Ivona’s story might just give you the inspiration you need. She’s been living in Andalusia since April, and here’s what she had to say about her experience so far:

I think this program is an amazing support system for anyone who wants to live abroad, learn something new about themselves and a different culture, and really become part of a community. The family I live with has been incredibly kind and welcoming—they’re relaxed, interesting, open, and super helpful, which means a lot to me. They opened their home to me as if I were truly one of their own. Torremolinos, the city I’m staying in, is a beautiful coastal town with stunning beaches and a lively city center.

In my free time, I’ve been traveling to other cities—both along the coast and inland—and soaking up the beauty of Andalusia. I spend time at the beach, read, practice Spanish, go rollerblading, and even do some beachside meditation. The thing I’ve loved most is the city itself, my cozy living arrangement, and the way the family treated me from day one—literally handing me the keys to the house and saying, “Help yourself to anything, whenever you need it.”

To anyone thinking about applying: do it! There’s absolutely nothing standing in your way. I promise, this will be one of the most incredible experiences of your life.
