Katarina sends warm greetings from Córdoba, where she’s currently soaking up the Spanish sun and culture. Here’s what she shared about her experience:
This program is amazing! I love that something like this exists—it’s such a great opportunity to get to know a new country, its culture, people, and language. The family I’m staying with is wonderful. They have four kids, and from the moment I arrived, they made me feel welcome and loved. I adore working with children, so after just three days, I already felt like part of the family. I can talk to them about anything, they’re always there if I need help, and most importantly, I genuinely feel like one of them. I’m lucky that my “job” here is simply to play with the kids and teach them English through fun and games.
Córdoba is a beautiful city with so much to explore, and the people are incredibly kind—I’m genuinely impressed. On weekends, I take trips to other cities. So far, I’ve visited Seville and Granada, and next up is Málaga! During the week, I explore Córdoba, go for walks, sometimes just stay home with a coffee and a good book, or hang out with the family.
What I’ve loved most is the time spent with the kids—we always have a blast—and the chance to travel around Andalusia. I’d honestly recommend this program to everyone. You won’t regret it! It’s a perfect way to step out of your comfort zone, meet new people, immerse yourself in another culture, and make friendships that’ll last.
