Our cultural exchange participant, Ljiljana, spent a month in the town of Cortina d’Ampezzo, in the north of Italy. Read more about her experience below.
This program left a wonderful impression on me—the family was incredibly warm and kind, and the town itself was absolutely beautiful. I really loved the place: small, cozy, and full of charm. I spent all of my free time enjoying outings with the family and hanging out with the girls. We mostly explored different parts of Italy, including Cortina itself, so we traveled a lot and I had the chance to truly experience Italy in the best possible way!
What I loved the most was the opportunity to meet new people, learn about different customs, and try lots of delicious food. I also really appreciated how close I became with the girls and the whole family—that connection made my stay even more enjoyable, meaningful, and truly unforgettable.
