Ana, one of our exchange participants, spent six wonderful weeks soaking up life in the charming town of Medina de Pomar. Nestled in the northern region of Spain known as the Basque Country, this picturesque place offered her the perfect backdrop for both relaxation and discovery.
During her stay, Ana split her time between Medina de Pomar and Bilbao, where her host family usually lives during the year. But the adventure didn’t stop there—she also visited several stunning cities like San Sebastián, Vitoria, Frías, and Villarcayo. Each one had its unique charm and left her with stories to tell.
What truly made the experience unforgettable, though, were the people. Her connection with the host family went beyond all expectations. She bonded beautifully with both the kids and the parents, and even formed a lasting friendship that she’ll carry with her beyond the program.
Ana returned home with a heart full of memories, grateful for every moment spent in Spain—and already dreaming of the next adventure.
