They Treated Me Like Family!

Ana, a participant in the cultural exchange program with Italy, shares her unforgettable experience. Read her story below:

Hi, I’m Ana. I’ve always dreamed of spending time in Italy—getting to know the culture and learning more about the local way of life. While reading testimonials from other participants in the cultural exchange program, I found myself wishing for the same kind of adventure. So, I applied right away.

I spent a month in the beautiful coastal town of Viareggio. The family that hosted me was also taking part in the program for the first time, and they were incredibly kind—welcoming me as if I were one of their own. Together, we explored various places so I could truly get a feel for their wonderful country. And when we weren’t sightseeing, we were making the most of our time on the beach.

In her free time, she explored the surroundings and even learn a bit of Italian:

I used my free days to discover more of Tuscany. Lucca and Florence are two cities I’d absolutely recommend if you find yourself nearby—they’re both magical in their own way. I also met so many kind and interesting people who made my stay even more enjoyable. Being around them helped me pick up a few Italian words too, even though I didn’t speak the language at all before my trip.
