Teodora, one of our cultural exchange participants in Spain, shares her thoughts after spending two and a half months in the country. Here’s what she had to say:
My time in Spain was a real rollercoaster. After about a month, I changed host families because things just weren’t working out, but thanks to the support from the agency, I was matched with a new family and dove into a brand-new adventure. I spent the next month on the island of Mallorca, in a town called Petra. The family welcomed me with open arms and did their best to show me the beauty of the island and what life there is really like.
She spent her free time both solo and with her host family—visiting Barcelona early on, and later exploring different parts of Mallorca, including Palma and Manacor.
What I loved the most was exploring Barcelona and spending time with the people I met on the island.
