Kristina, one of our cultural exchange participants in Spain, wrote to us from the gorgeous city of Marbella, nestled in the heart of Andalusia. She’s been enjoying everything this vibrant southern gem has to offer—and here’s what she had to say about her adventure so far:
The family is wonderful. Since the day I arrived, they’ve been doing everything they can to make me feel at home. They’re so warm and easy to be around, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. As for the location—Marbella is the place to be if you’re young. It’s buzzing with tourists and events, the city never sleeps, and there’s always something going on. I’m really glad I ended up in the south of Spain—I think it’s the most beautiful part of the country.
I spend my free time visiting nearby towns and cities or simply relaxing on Marbella’s stunning beaches. What I’ve loved the most, though, are the people. They’re incredibly friendly, cheerful, welcoming, and always smiling. I haven’t felt like a stranger for a single moment.
When it comes to working with our team, Kristina says:
I’ve had such a positive experience with the Center. The coordinators have been there every step of the way—helping with everything from filling out my profile to supporting me throughout the program.
And her message for future participants:
Don’t overthink it—and don’t be afraid of the unknown. I see this as a big adventure, one that definitely gives you an unforgettable experience for life.
