Our cultural exchange participant in Italy, Mirjana, spent three months in Turin – a city full of cinematic charm and cultural richness. Here’s what she had to say about her experience.
Hi everyone! I’m currently on exchange in Italy, and I would honestly recommend this program to anyone who wants to push their boundaries and discover themselves in a truly special way. CAR made the whole process easier—from the application to the paperwork—and helped me reach my goal in the smoothest way possible. My impressions so far are wonderful. The host family is incredibly caring and kind, and I fall in love with the city all over again every time I walk through its streets.
In my free time, I enjoy discovering interesting spots, strolling through the city, and indulging in Italian food. What I love the most is the warmth and hospitality of the family I’m staying with.
To future participants, I say:
I wholeheartedly recommend it. Yes, the paperwork and the application process might seem a bit overwhelming at first, but it’s all worth it. This program offers a unique chance to experience a country’s culture in a way that’s completely different from tourism. It’s truly become one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve ever had—and something I’ll remember for the rest of my life.
