Kristina, one of our cultural exchange participants in Spain, spent a month in Bormujos, a charming town just outside of Seville. Here’s what she had to say about her unforgettable experience:
This program has been a major experience for me, and I was lucky enough to be placed with a cheerful, fun-loving host family. I stayed in Bormujos, a small but lively town known for its many sports facilities—especially padel, which seems to be everyone’s favorite sport here. Still, I spent most of my time exploring the stunning city of Seville and soaking in its unique energy and beauty.
In my free time, I’d train, go for long walks, and catch the breathtaking sunset from the Triana Bridge—one of my favorite moments of the whole trip. I also traveled around the region, visiting nearby towns, cities, and beaches. Along the way, I met so many new people—always smiling, full of good vibes, and up for a laugh or a chat. I tried their traditional food and desserts, and I even discovered a local beer that’s now one of my favorites. 🙂
What do I love the most? Definitely the vibrant energy of the people in this part of Spain. There was a sense of freedom in the air, and I felt completely welcomed by my warm and joyful host family.
