Marija, one of our cultural exchange participants in Spain, writes to us from the charming coastal town of Rincón de la Victoria, nestled along the Costa del Sol. She’s been living there for nearly a month, and here’s what she had to say about her experience:
So far, Spain has completely lived up to my expectations. I’m staying in a small town just outside of Málaga called Rincón de la Victoria. It’s mostly populated by locals, which helps you get a genuine feel for Spanish life and culture.
In her free time, Marija enjoys exploring nearby towns, traveling, going out, and spending time with both fellow participants and locals.
But what made the biggest impression on her?
An amazing host family. They welcomed me as one of their own. Our time together has been filled with all kinds of activities—celebrations, birthdays, and everyday family moments. It’s been the perfect way to experience Spanish traditions firsthand.
