Nina, a participant in the cultural exchange program with Italy, is currently living her dream in the city of Modena. Here’s what she had to say about her experience so far:
It’s been a month since I arrived, and I can honestly say I’m living the Italian dream. When I stop and think about it, a month isn’t a long time, but I already feel completely at home. The family I’m staying with welcomed me as one of their own and made my time here so much easier. At first, everything was new—different customs, culture, routines—but I quickly got into the rhythm, and I’m sure I’ll take some of those habits back home with me.
Modena, the city I’m living in, is unbelievably beautiful. Every street, every corner, every building feels like a piece of art. There are so many charming squares and parks—it’s all just so well put together.
I even had the chance to visit southern Italy, specifically Pescara. The combination of sea and mountains, the incredibly kind people, and the delicious food left such a strong impression on me. I still have two more months ahead, and I already know there are more adventures waiting. Italy is such a beautiful country, and I’m sure this will be the greatest adventure of my life.
