Soaking Up the Sun on the Shores of Palma de Mallorca

Nevena shares her reflections from the cultural exchange program in Spain, where she’s currently wrapping up her stay on the beautiful island of Mallorca.

Now that my time here is coming to an end, I can say with full confidence, this has been one of the best experiences of my life. I came to Spain hoping to explore the culture, meet new people, and improve my language skills, but what I got in return was so much more. The host family was amazing—we didn’t have any major issues, and whenever something came up, it was easy to talk things through. We even plan to keep in touch after I leave and visit each other in the future.

Just like I hoped, I immersed myself in the Spanish way of life, made wonderful friendships, and picked up both Spanish and English naturally through daily conversations. I spent a lot of my time exploring new places and soaking up the magic of Mallorca’s stunning beaches. And thanks to having plenty of free time, I made sure to take full advantage of every single day here.
