Anđelija, one of our cultural exchange participants in Spain, spent a month and a half living on the stunning island of Mallorca. Here’s what she shared about her time there:
I adapted to my host family and the place I was staying in on the very first day. Every moment spent with the family and the friends I made was absolutely beautiful. Honestly, I don’t have a single bad thing to say about my time there!
I wish future participants at least half as wonderful an experience—because even that would be incredible! I also want to say only the best things about the team at the Center for Youth Development and Empowerment. They were available 24/7, constantly checking in to make sure everything was going well. I’m so thankful to them for making this amazing experience possible!
In my free time, I explored different spots around the island, and went to beach parties and local events with friends or the host family.
What I appreciated most was how the family treated me—with so much care and warmth.
