Our cultural exchange participant, Marija, writes to us from Andalusia—more precisely from its stunning capital, Seville—where she’s been living for almost a month and a half. Here’s what she shared about her experience so far.
The family welcomed me with so much warmth and kindness. That first week I spent with them honestly felt like a fairytale. Seville is one of the most beautiful cities in Andalusia, and I truly believe no one could remain indifferent to its charm.
During the week, I spend time with the family and then usually hang out with friends I’ve made here in Spain. On weekends, I use every chance I get to travel to other cities and discover new places.
What I love most is having the opportunity to experience life in a completely different way—to meet new people, explore new places, and become part of their culture.
To any young person who’s up for an adventure and loves to travel, I’d recommend this program. It’s an amazing chance to experience something new and exciting, to broaden your horizons, and maybe even make lifelong friends—because I certainly did.
