Tamara, one of our cultural exchange participants in Spain, spent two months in Madrid. Here’s what she shared about her experience:
My first impressions were very positive. The host family welcomed me warmly—they were kind, and thoughtful, and made sure I had everything I needed. Every member of the family was lovely, and once the kids got used to me, they didn’t want to let me go. I had the chance to explore one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, which had been one of my biggest dreams. Madrid truly amazed me with its culture and countless tourist attractions.
In my free time, I loved exploring the city, and discovering interesting spots and cultural landmarks—Madrid really has so much to offer. As a student of the Spanish language, I especially enjoyed the opportunity to improve my skills and was genuinely impressed by the richness of the local culture.
Her message to future participants:
I would recommend this program to everyone. It’s the perfect chance to get to know a new culture, explore a country from the inside, and deepen your knowledge of its language and lifestyle. It will undoubtedly become one of the most beautiful experiences of your life.
