Ivona, a participant in the cultural exchange program with China, sends her greetings from abroad. Here’s what she had to share about her time so far:
As a student of the Chinese language, I truly believe this is an amazing opportunity to get to know China, its people, and the unique energy of Chinese culture.
Becoming part of a local family isn’t always easy at first—everyone has their routines and expectations—but with time, everything falls into place. What’s truly special is that the host family can introduce you to parts of China, traditional dishes, and everyday habits you would probably never discover on your own.
Chinese people are incredibly open toward foreigners. And if you know even a little bit of Chinese, they’re always happy to strike up a conversation, build friendships, and proudly share their culture and country with you.
